Apartment

The object of this project is an apartment in the historical centre of Prague, which is used for the souvenirs of the sponsor's travels, in the famous scenery of the Grand Vefour in Paris.

We have carried out an extensive search of documentations in order to be able to reconstruct the panels using photographs of the originals. This project required a variety of techniques, which we have achieved in the rules of art and respect for traditions. The paper panels were mounted on wood and then plated against a glass plate, we then prepared them with skin glue and kaolin. The ornaments were made with water painting and oil finishes. At the same time, we gilded the frieze to the ceiling and the architrave, and painted the doors in faux rosewood with gilding in a Regency style.
