Castle G

The Grand Lucé is a castle built by a royal intendant in the mid-eighteenth century. Converted into a sanatorium, it was resold in 2004 by the Regional Council to an American decorator to make it his second home and showroom.

In the large living room, after clearing the sculpted parts, we made a spun patina and treated the pilasters in faux-marble according to the traditional techniques of oil painting.

In the Chinese lounge, along with the restoration of the large Chinese panels, we cleared the remainder of the woodwork before applying a succession of glazes to bring homogeneity while maintaining a natural effect of the wood.
