Facing the Laguna
This wood panelling was conceived and painted in our Parisian workshops, and required the skills of our entire team. Based on a long lost Italian recipe whose secret was passed on to us by Renzo Mongiardino, we realised a series of faux marble and gilding inspired by the Borghese Palace in Rome. The process consists of coats of primer, the consistency of which must rival with porcelain: one of the specialities only that only the Ateliers de Ricou master.
When we arrived to finish the wood panels, we were astonished to see that the six windows looked over the Laguna, and just opposite was the sumptuous Palladio church. It was like a dream: the marriage of architecture, light and our décor in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
