A collector of domestic objects, along with the decorator Michel Pinet, created the dwelling of a man with a taste for the past in a loft. All objects kept their original usage, electricity was blacklisted and an open fire is always available for soup to simmer

We used techniques and painting in a strictly traditional way, issued from a work of reference dated back to 1750, the “Wattin.” For example, the inner side of furniture was painted a typical orange, the kitchen was colour-washed with such a common tone from that period that it was known as “street ochre,” the ironwork was passed over with lac and a mixture of vermilion and candle black, creating the perfect brown tone.

Decoration here can be compared to an art of restitution.
