Bas-reliefs By the Water

In the framework of contemporary development projects, architects often consult us. This realisation arose from a concrete demand: finding a solution for decorating two large walls by a pool.

After several propositions, an original solution was chosen: painted, abstract bas-reliefs. This on the spot work of art as the finishing touch for a special place was most successful.

The bas-relief was directly cut from blocks of pre-assembled concrete, upon which a mortar made of lime and sand had been laid, that was then painted as a fresco. The ensemble is constituted of two bas-reliefs measuring 5 x 2 m for the back wall and 3 x 4 m for the lateral wall.
